As college students navigate their academic journey, staying organized and managing tasks can be crucial for success. Experts from DSU faculty and staff provide insights on how students can tackle challenges and thrive during their college years.

Dr. Andrea Cuervo Prados, an Adjunct Faculty member in the School of Education, uses a metaphor to emphasize taking things step by step, especially in online courses. "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!" she advises. Dr. Cuervo Prados highlights the importance of breaking down assignments into smaller, manageable tasks to maintain consistency. She also stresses the significance of sleep for students: "Prioritize quality sleep! It's crucial for memory retention and focus."

Dr. Liz Freedman Fowler, Dean of the School of Applied Sciences, focuses on the importance of organization. She suggests, "Add all of your classes and exam dates to your calendar, and set reminder alerts." This advice can be particularly helpful for students dealing with early morning classes.

Both educators aim to equip students with strategies to not only survive but truly succeed in their college endeavors.
