Five finalists announced for Dickinson State University's presidential search

Dickinson State University is in the process of selecting its next president, with five finalists scheduled to visit the campus. These candidates will have the chance to engage with students, faculty, staff, and community members during their visits. Each finalist has a distinct background in education, leadership, and community engagement.

Jeff D. Borden currently serves as the Dean for the School of Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University. "Dr. Borden believes he will bring practical, researched, intentional strategies to the leadership of the university."

Scott Molander is part of Butler University's faculty team and co-founded Lids Sports Group. An alumnus of Dickinson State University, he emphasizes that "strong, personalized education must remain DSU’s priority for current and future students."

Carmen M. Simone holds extensive experience in higher education administration and teaching. She currently leads Dakota College at Bottineau as Dean and states that it is "imperative to appreciate DSU’s history" while embracing its traditions.

James Y. Taylor is a Vice President at Utah State University managing a statewide campus system of 30 campuses. He notes his commitment to people and place through his work as an Associate Professor and various leadership roles.

Jodi E. Washington serves as Executive Director of Student Services Initiatives for Broward County Public Schools in Florida. She asserts that "engaged alumni and community leaders with the DSU campus community will assure continued growth and success."
