Cassidy Venner, a senior from Billings, Montana, is set to graduate from Dickinson State University (DSU) with a major in physical and health education. Venner chose DSU for its academic programs and the chance to play softball, along with the community-centered environment that promised lifelong friendships.

Venner credits her academic achievements to the support of DSU's faculty. She highlighted the influence of Sarah Crossingham, assistant professor of education, saying: “I am eternally grateful for Professor Crossingham’s guidance and the profound impact she had on my life.”

One of Venner's standout memories at DSU was winning the softball conference tournament in May 2024. Reflecting on this achievement, she remarked: “The unwavering support from DSU and the community that came to cheer on the softball team was unmatched to any other experience I have been a part of. It is something I will never forget!”

On December 20, Venner will participate in DSU’s Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony. She plans to continue at DSU for a master’s degree in sports administration with a focus on athletic leadership while utilizing her remaining softball eligibility. Her long-term goal is to pursue a career in physical education.
