In celebration of National Public Works Week scheduled for May 21-27, 2023, the City of Williston Public Works will host its Public Outreach Day on Wednesday, May 24

Open to all ages, this free event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Williston Public Works located at 1121 5th Street East.

City of Williston Public Works has celebrated Public Works Week since 2015, and 2023 marks the 63rd annual National Public Works Week sponsored by the American Public Works (APWA) and Canadian Public Works Associations.

This year’s theme is “Connecting the World Through Public Works” as public works connects us all through infrastructure and service, enhancing the quality of life for the communities these professionals serve.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet City of Williston Public Works staff, explore equipment up close, learn about projects and services, and walk away with giveaways and snacks!

“Public Works Week and Public Outreach Day are events that celebrate how our crew efforts impact everyday life for residents,” said Bret Williams, Public Works Operations Manager.  “Community support is essential to the work we conduct every day, and we truly appreciate the patience, collaboration and understanding of the residents we serve.  These events give the residents the opportunity to meet our hard working men and women and learn more about our daily efforts to keep the community’s infrastructure running smoothly.”

The media is welcome to attend!
