Mexican Folkloric Ballet Class-Youth

Summary

Baile Folclórico Mexicano- Juvenil. A fun and educational dance class where children will learn about the Mexican culture and its history through traditional dance and music.

Location: Watford City Civic Center

Cost: $40 per child

Clase de danza Mexicana donde los niños aprenderán la historia cultural atravez del baile Folclórico tradicional.

Boys and girls aged 7 and up are invited to join us for this 5 week dance class that focuses on the traditional jarabe tapatío, the representative national dance of Mexico. Students will learn to dance to the sound of the mariachi and will perform at a special event in the community wearing typical national costumes at the end of the session.

Niños y niñas de edades 10 en adelate estan invitados a participar en la clase de 4 semanas, con enfoque en el tradicional baile Jarabe Tapatío, el baile nacional representativo de México. Los estudiantes aprenderán a bailar al ritmo del Mariachi y tendrán una presentación especial donde usarán el vestuario nacional durante el evento comunitario.

The children will learn techniques that includes Footwork, Skirt work, and Stage Presence. Classes will be held on the following schedule, two times a week.

Winter Session:

Tuesdays and Thursdays

October 25 - December 1(Excluding Thanksgiving week)

5-6:30 pm

$40 for 5 week class (10 classes total)

Watford City Civic Center Class includes use of costumes and two public performances

Las clases se llevarán acabo en el siguiente horario, tres veces por semana. Horario de clases de Verano: Martes y Jueves 5 pm - 7pm durante el Verano (Octubre 25 - Diciembre 1. Excluyendo la semana de Acción de Gracias) Costo $40 por 5 semanas de instrucción (Ubicación por confirmar)

Along with movement, instructor Angelica Arellano will be teaching children the history of the dance as well. Folk dance fosters culture by learning about the customs and traditions of a town, region, or country; as well as the importance of our roots Supporting efforts to strengthen ties and a sense of community is a reason to testify to the benefit that the youth of Watford City will receive by learning and practicing Mexican folk dance.

Junto con los pasos del baile, la instructora Angélica Arellano también enseñará a los niños la historia de la danza. La danza Folclórica fomenta la cultura al conocer las costumbres y tradiciones de un pueblo, región o país; así como la importancia de nuestras raíces.Apoyar los esfuerzos para fortalecer los lazos y el sentido de comunidad es una razón para dar testimonio del beneficio que recibirán los jóvenes de la ciudad de Watford al aprender y practicar la danza Folclórica Mexicana.
