The Adams County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports of burglaries to storage units and residences in Adams County

Adams County Sheriff's Office recently issued the following announcement.

During the period of April-June 2022, The Adams County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports of burglaries to storage units and residences in Adams County. Multiple items including tools, electronics, and firearms were stolen during the various burglaries. During the course of the investigation into those burglaries, several suspects were developed and eventually arrested by Adams County Sheriff's Deputies. 

     During the week of June 6th 2022 multiple Search Warrants were executed by the Adams County Sheriffs Office, the Quincy Police Department and the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force.  During the execution of those search warrants numerous stolen firearms were located and seized. Also located were several stolen items from the above mentioned burglaries that had occurred in Adams County. 

As a result of the investigation the following 5  Adams County residents were arrested and lodged in the Adams County Jail during the week of June 6th 2022:

-Zachary A. Laffey - 27yrs, Quincy.  

         Burglary (6 counts), Possession of a Stolen 

         Firearm, Possession of Firearm by Felon, 

         Outstanding MO Warrants

-Saveon SK Lewis- 23 years, Quincy.

         Possession of  Stolen Firearm, Possession of 

         Firearm by Felon

-Laura M. Fowler- 34, Quincy.

        Burglary, Theft

-Austin M. Wester- 24 years, Quincy 

         Possession of Methamphetamine, 

         2  Adams County Arrest Warrants

-William A. Flot- 47 years, Quincy

         Burglary, No Valid Drivers License

The Adams County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Quincy Police Department and the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force. This investigation is ongoing and additional arrest are pending. 

"These charges, as well as the statements herein, are based upon probably cause. The defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
