Vision West ND issued the following announcement.
Kelli Krieg was awarded Excellence in Behavioral Healthcare at the 2022 Summit on Behavioral Health in Energy Country.
This award recognizes an individual who uses critical thinking to deliver compassionate, hands-on care and serves as an inspiration to peers, patients, and families. Kelli is an advocate for behavioral health on all levels. She is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor and has worked in the field of correctional behavioral health and Human Services for over 10 years. Kelli is the Behavioral Health Programs Director at Dakota Women’s Correction & Rehabilitation Center, and the Dickinson Adult Detention Center.
She provides clinical work and clinical supervision to those that she supervises and does all with passion and compassion. Kelli participates in various boards and committees to ensure those she works with have a voice. She participates in the Southwest Behavioral Health Coalition, the Human Trafficking Task Force, and monthly meetings of the ND Prevention & Action Coalition on Trauma (PACT). Knowing ND has a shortage of licensed addiction counselors, Kelli plays a critical role in getting multiple licensed addiction counselors trained at the Dakota Women’s Correction & Rehabilitation Center, and aids in their licensing to provide services in the State of ND. Kelli is an advocate of suicide prevention and raises funds through the Out of Darkness Walk. In addition, Kelli also provides prevention education within the Dickinson Public Schools. Kelli is an inspiration to the staff she works with, to the patients she provides services for, and to the families they return home to. Kelli is most deserving of this award.
Thank you and congratulations Kelli Krieg!
