Williams County ND issued the following announcement.
Update: Effective 1pm (CST) on 4/27/2022 All Williams County and Township *GRAVEL* roads will be restricted to 20,000 lbs (GVW) due to the level of moisture saturation in the roadways. Based on continued snow melt and rain forecast, gravel roads will likely remain restricted to 20,000lbs (GVW) into the weekend. Utility companies are coordinating with County Highway staff and the Sheriff's Office to ensure repair/reconstruction efforts continue throughout the region.
*Paved* County and Townships roads continue to be restricted to axle weight limits following frost law load limits, view a map for applicable axle weight limits at https://bit.ly/frostlaws_22 or our website williamsnd.com.

Update: 10:25am (CST) 4/26/2022 Williams County gravel roads will be opened for travel by permitted overweight (over axle and over gross) and oversize loads from 10:30am-3:00pm on 4/26/2022. Permits are available through LoadPass https://www.loadpasspermits.com/
Effective 3pm CST on 4/26/2022 all Williams County and Township gravel roads will return to NO OVERWEIGHT (over axle and over gross) and NO OVERSIZE travel restrictions.
As snow continues to melt and roads become saturated, there is the possibility that restrictions may be reduced to 20,000lbs (GVW) on County and Township roads in the next few days.
