Burke County issued the following announcement on March 20.
Did you know the U.S. Department of Labor requires youth younger than age 16 who wish to work on a farm not owned by their family to complete the National Safe Tractor and Machinery Operation Program (NSTMOP).
Farm operations present a wide range of hazards for workers, and youth are especially at risk for severe injuries and fatalities.
NDSU Extension is putting together a tractor safety camp to be held at the North Dakota 4-H Camp at Washburn June 9th to June 11th. If know of someone who wants to or should take this training please give me a call.
