Cost of college went up for all students at Williston State College

Tuition and fees rose 2.7 percent for 2018-19 at Williston State College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Dakota students paid $5,304 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $141 more than the $5,163 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 280 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.6 million and 98 students took out student loans totaling more than $440,719.

Including all undergraduates (1,124), 595 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.3 million, and 260 students took out $1.4 million in federal student loans.
