We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Gowri Pillai, who has just completed their 10th Annual Food and Funds drive with the support of our amazing community members. Support for Gowri’s hunger-relief efforts came from family, friends, classmates, and partners like Dacotah Bank and Doosan Bobcat Company, raising a total of 1,442 pounds of food and $5441 in financial donations!
Gowri witnessed homelessness firsthand a decade ago and has since dedicated each birthday to collecting food donations and financial gifts through Gowri's Annual Food Drive, for the Great Plains Food Bank. Thanks to Gowri’s selfless spirit, these gifts will go towards the immediate nutritional needs of our neighbors this holiday season.
