Williston State College has received donations from First International Bank & Trust (FIBT) to support two major projects: a new turf baseball and softball complex and a healthcare training facility. The contributions will benefit Rabon Field, home of Teton Baseball, Leininger Field, home of Teton Softball, and the Healthcare Training Facility that is scheduled to open in January 2026.
Jory Meyer, Williston Branch President for First International Bank & Trust, stated, “Williston State College is a pillar of our community. First International Bank & Trust is proud to support WSC’s new baseball and softball complex, as well as their new healthcare training facility – two major initiatives that will further enrich the lives of the people who live, work, play, and learn in Williston. From improving local outdoor recreation to preparing the next generation of medical professionals for the workforce, these are exactly the kind of efforts we love to be a part of.”
The new athletic fields provide weather-resilient playing surfaces for student-athletes and serve as venues for local and regional events. The healthcare facility aims to offer advanced programs through partnerships with regional universities. Planned degrees include Nursing, Paramedic, Medical Assistant, and Addiction Studies.
Dr. Bernell Hirning, President of Williston State College, said, “We are deeply grateful to First International Bank & Trust for their ongoing partnership and support. These donations reflect a shared vision for the future of our region—one where education, recreation, and healthcare go hand-in-hand to create stronger, more vibrant communities.”
These projects align with Williston State College’s mission to invest in student achievement and workforce development while meeting the changing needs of western North Dakota.
